The education solution concept
The secret to extreme productivity in education is
dead simple. It's nothing more than common sense.
But don't be fooled into thinking that it's easy to actually do! The secret to extreme productivity in
education
is to create
|
a self-sustaining
learning environment
focused on productive cooperation. |
Instead of
|
an externally funded
teaching environment
focused on individual knowledge. |
Think about it. We spend
12-15 years learning how to survive and perform in an individualistic
academic environment, where success is gauged - to a large degree - by
theoretical knowledge retention. Does that sound
like ideal preparation for a working life of cooperating with others to
produce something of value that benefits people?
If practice does indeed make perfect, are we creating
perfect scholars, when we really need productive co-operators?
And another thing - do you think that students would be
more or less bored if they were making a difference in someone else's life?
Would teachers get paid less or more if schools were
doing things that in themselves were productive?
Would schools be better or worse funded if they were
engaged in productive activities? Would work be
more or less boring if everyone had had 12 years of on-the-job training in
how to create results through cooperating with others? |
